Bulk upload: Overview
Create, modify or delete items in bulk by uploading a file containing relevant data in Comma-Separated Value (CSV) format (one item per line). You can download a formatted CSV spreadsheet below, review instructions in the header, fill it up with data (one item per line), save it as a CSV file, and upload the CSV file. On completion of upload, you can review the status of your upload on this page. Bulk import of data will take time, so refresh the status using the 'refresh' link after giving sufficient time. Subsequently, verify that the data has been created correctly, as required.

Navigate to the Assets page
- Click on Setup on the main menu
- Click on Assets in the drop-down menu
- Click on Upload in bulk
Bulk upload assets
1. Click ‘Download data file format for materials link to download a formatted CSV spreadsheet
2. Once the file is downloaded, review instructions in the header, fill it up with data (one item per line) and save it as a CSV file
- Review the instructions in the data file header to ensure correctness
- Star (*) implies mandatory fields
- Values having commas (,) should be quoted (") [NOT required if entering in Excel]
3. Click Choose File to upload the file to upload the selected CSV file for materials
4. Click Upload button to upload the file or Cancel to exit
5. A pop up will confirm whether the file you are trying to upload is a CSV with assets information
6. A popup message will confirm that the bulk upload file has been successfully scheduled for import
7. On completion of upload, you can review the status of your upload on this page. Successfully uploaded file will show a "Done" status
8. If the file consists of even one error, the error(s) will be shown and the data will not be uploaded - click on the number of errors to expand a table with the list of errors. View them, make the changes on the file and re-upload
9. Bulk import of data will take time, so refresh the status using the 'refresh' link after giving sufficient time
10. Verify that the data has been created correctly, as required
11. The number of assets will increase by the same number as the number of assets uploaded via the bulk upload file
