Materials: Overview
Materials are the commodities managed in a supply chain and can be typically maintained in their Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), which are the units in which the commodities are managed at the echelon in a supply chain.
On the application, a master list of materials are to be created, specifying their properties. These materials will then be available for entities to add to their inventory.
Basic details of the material such as it's name, temperature sensitivity, seasonality and operational decisions to maintain the batches of these materials on Logistimo or not.

Navigate to Materials page
- Click on the Setup on the main menu
- Click on Materials in the drop-down menu
- View all the materials within the domain
View materials in the domain
- View the total number of materials, use the arrow to navigate to the next page if required
- Click on the checkbox on the header to select all materials or the checkbox at the start of a row to select just that row
- View the serial number, materials are listed in alphabetical order
- Click on the name of the material to be taken to the material details page
- View a short description of the material
- View material tags to see the categories the material has been tagged under
- View the retailer's price of the material and the currency being used (in this example, INR = Indian Rupees)
- View the manufacturer's price of the material and the currency being used (in this example, INR = Indian Rupees)
- View whether the material is being managed as a batch or not
- View the name of the person who last updated the record
- Click on the edit icon to edit the record
Other activities that can be done on this page include:
1. Search for a material by entering the material name (including partial names) in the Search field at the top left of the user domain and click search
2. If material tags are shown, you can also browse by material tags
3. Click on the Export button to export the data. The filters have implications on "Export" users functionality also (See article How to export material(s))
4. Click on the Reset button to reset all filters to default values
5. Click on the Material name to view details of the material
6. Click on the username to view details of the user
7. Click on the Edit icon to edit the record (See article How to edit material(s))
8. Click on the checkbox at the beginning of the row to select a row
9. Click on the Remove button to remove selected material(s) from the system (See article How to remove materials(s))
