Creating entities: Overview
Entities in the supply chain are places where inventory is stored and dispensed. Entities can be created, edited and also removed from the system. Users have to be assigned to entities when they are created, hence it is mandatory to create users before creating entities.

Navigate to the Entities page
1. Click on the Setup tab on the main menu
2. Select the Entities sub-tab from the options on the drop-down list

Creating an entity
1. Enter Entity name, this is the name that the entity will be referred to going forwards, entity names have to be unique, the system will not allow multiple entities with the same name
2. Enter Users, multiple users can be assigned to an entity, all individuals who will manage an entity or are directly associated should be assigned as users. This is a compulsory field, hence users have to be created prior to creating the entity
3. Enter Tags, tags are classifications that are given to entities, these tags are predefined and are useful while analysis entities as different cohorts
4. Enter Country, the country field has to be filled with the name of the country where the entity is located
5. Enter State, the state field has to be filled with the name of the state where the entity is located
6. Enter District/County, the district/country field has to be filled with the name of the district/country where the entity is located
7. Enter Taluk, the taluk field has to be filled with the name of the taluk where the entity is located
8. Enter Village/City, the Village/City field has to be filled with the name of the Village/City where the entity is located
9. Enter ZIP/PIN code, the ZIP/PIN field has to be filled with the name of the ZIP/PIN where the entity is located
10. Click on the Get geocodes button to capture the Latitude and Longitude of the entity based on the location details that has been filled thus far. The geo location icon can be moved around to capture the exact location of the entity
11. Latitude gets populated after clicking on the Get geocodes button, the value that is populated can be edited if desired
12. Longitude gets populated after clicking on the Get geocodes button, the value that is populated can be edited if desired
13. Enter Currency based on the currency in which the prices of the materials are entered and are to be viewed
14. Batch management can be enabled or disabled based on requirement, as far as possible batch management should be enabled because batch management has many advantage such as ability to track batches that are going to expire, ability to tack batches in cases of recall etc.
15. Click on the Save button to create the entity

1. After clicking on the save button, a banner shows up on the top of the screen indicating that the entity has been created
