Serial Number field: Overview
The serial number field allows finding an asset by entering the serial number of the asset, or by entering the first few numbers/letters of the asset and selecting the desired asset serial number from the suggested list. The asset being searched could be either monitoring or monitored asset.

Navigate to the Assets page
To view the assets, navigate to the Assets page:
- Click on the Assets tab in the main menu
- A list of all the monitored assets will be displayed for the default filters
Find assets using Serial Number field
- Enter the first few letters of the asset's serial number
- Select the desired asset from the suggested list
- The details page of the asset associated with the selected serial number will be opened
- If the serial number entered is of a monitored asset, the following fields are shown:
a. serial number of the monitored asset
b. entity name where the asset is located and the location details
c. temperature of asset, in the following colour codes:
- green, if temperature is in the pre-defined normal range
- blue, if temperature is below normal range
- red, if temperature is above normal range
- grey, if asset is in unknown status or no data is being sent (a '?' symbol is shown)
d. asset type
e. working status of asset
f. asset owner's name and phone number
g. asset maintainer's name and phone number
h. asset created/updated time and username
i. map view of asset based on geolocation
j. summary tab, which shows the temperature graph
i. click on export to export temperature data for 30 days from the selected date; the default date is the current date
ii. the graph displays the temperature of a sensor over a period of time, against the high & low range highlighted in red and light blue, respectively. The dark blue line represents the temperature of the sensor at specified sample intervals
iii. to view the temperature for an earlier date, click on the day field and select a date
iv. click reset to go back to the current date
v. to zoom in to a specific portion of the graph, click and drag along the graph; to zoom in further, repeat the step
vi. click on the zoom out icon to zoom out one level
vii. click on the reset icon to go back to full view of the graph
viii. click on the export icon to save the graph as an image or a file
ix. recent activity shows instances of alarms with the associated sensor and time of alarm
k. information tab, which shows details of the asset such as asset capacity, capacity metrics
l. relationships tab, which shows the related assets, if any
- If the serial number entered is of a monitoring asset, the following fields are shown:
a. serial number of the monitored asset
b. entity name where the asset is located and the location details
c. asset type
d. working status of asset
e. asset owner's name and phone number
f. asset maintainer's name and phone number
g. asset created/updated time and username
h. map view of asset based on geolocation
i. summary tab, which shows the temperature graph of the asset; details of the summary tab are the same as for monitored assets
j. information tab, which shows asset information such as mobile number, SIM ID number, IMEI number, etc.
k. configuration tab, which shows the alarm, notification and communication configurations
i. configuration for high and low temperature alarm
ii. configuration for high and low temperature warning
iii. configuration for communication channels, sampling intervals and types of notifications
iv. alarm frequency notification
v. locale configuration
vi. configuration status
l. relationships tab, which shows the related assets, if any
m. statistics tab, which shows information on number of temperature breaches, time of breach, etc. if available
