Order notifications: Overview


Notifications are alerts that can be communicated to users, highlighting important order events. These notifications can be communicated via SMS, email and bulletin board immediately, daily, weekly or on a monthly basis.

The list of events for which order notifications can be communicated are listed below.


A. Based on order status


  1. Order created: When a new order is created, a notification can be triggered. This can be customized on the following basis:

    • Material tags
    • Entity tags
  2. Order status changed: When the status of an order changes, a notification can be triggered. This can be customized on the following basis:
    • Status of the order: Confirmed, Shipped, Fulfilled, Cancelled, Reopened, Backordered
    • Material tags
    • Entity tags
  3. Order modified: When any field in an order is modified, a notification can be triggered. This can be customized on the following basis:

    • Material tags
    • Entity tags


B. Based on order inactivity

  1. Order expired/untouched: When there are no changes in the status of an order for a specific period, a notification can be triggered. This notification can be customized on the following basis:

    • Number of days for which there is no change in the status
    • Material tags
    • Entity tags
  2. Fulfilment due: When an order has not been fulfilled for a specific number of days since shipment, a notification can be triggered. This notification can be customized on the following basis:

    • Number of days for which the fulfilment is due
    • Material tags
    • Entity tags
  3. No order activity:  When there are no orders recorded in a domain for a specific period of time, a notification can be triggered. This notification can be customized on the following basis:
    • Number of days for the inactivity to be considered
    • Material tags
    • Entity tags
