Assets: Overview

Assets are the resources owned by companies which can be hardware (temperature loggers, fridges, laptops), software (Excel) and it belongs to the Domain and/or Entity. The asset management feature helps users to track and monitor assets. Asset features will be available only after enabling Asset management service under Configuration > Asset. The Asset module comes under master data setup and contains listing, creation/edit options and bulk upload options. Assets created in the domain, will be visible to that domain and all its parent domains. Assets can be of two types, and their properties vary based on the type:

  • monitoring assets (eg. ILRs, deep freezers)
  • monitored assets (eg. temperature loggers)



Navigate to the Assets page

  1. Click on Setup on the main menu
  2. Click on Assets in the drop-down menu
  3. View a list of existing assets





Assets filters

  1. Filter or search for assets by using the serial number filter field (See article titled "Filter by serial number")
  2. Filter assets by type using the Type drop-down menu (See article titled "Filter by Type")
  3. Click on the Reset button to reset to default view



Assets table

  1. View the number of assets in the system
  2. The domain icon helps users identify the domains to which the assets are associated
  3. Assets are listed by serial number
  4. Click on the unique asset identification of the asset


5. View the asset information page



6. View the asset type: deep freezer, ILR, temperature logger, walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer

7. View the entity where the asset is placed. Click on the entity name



8. View entity details. You can click on the Assets tab to view all the assets associated with the entity



9. View the name of the person who last updated the record. Click on the name to view user details, if you have permission
